1. Submission and Publication

When you submit content to Unsent Memo:

• Your submission may be reviewed and published in the Unsent Memo archive.
• Any submission that does not violate the terms listed below is eligible for approval.
• We do our best to review each submission, but due to volume, we cannot guarantee your submission will be reviewed or published.
• Any content you submit can be seen and searched by anyone on the internet once published.
• Submissions are permanent. There is no way to delete a submission from Unsent Memo or from the internet after it has been published.
• You may submit a maximum of 1 post per 24-hour period.
• Submissions must be in English.

2. Content Ownership and License

You retain ownership of any content you submit. By submitting content to Unsent Memo, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, store, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, modify, and create derivative works of your content across any media or platform, now or in the future.

You represent and warrant that:

• You have all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to submit the content.
• Your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, copyright, or trademark rights.
• You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Unsent Memo and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or costs arising from your submitted content.

3. Prohibited Content

Submissions must not contain any of the following:

• Identifying information about any individual, including real names, usernames, phone numbers, addresses, dates, links, workplace details, or any other information that could identify a real person (this is commonly referred to as doxxing).
• Any content that is unlawful, defamatory, libelous, threatening, obscene, pornographic, harassing, or hateful, including language that discriminates on the basis of ethnicity, national origin, race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or physical appearance.
• Hate speech, bullying, or any language intended to harm, intimidate, threaten, or coerce any individual or group.
• Slurs or derogatory language of any kind.
• Any statement that identifies you as the author of the post.
• Duplicate submissions.

We reserve the right to reject or remove any submission that violates these terms, at our sole discretion.

1. Content You Submit

You are solely responsible for any content you submit to the Site, and for ensuring it complies with all applicable laws and these Terms. Unsent Memo does not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for user-submitted content.

You understand that by using the Service, you may encounter content submitted by others that is offensive, inaccurate, or otherwise inappropriate. We are not responsible for such content and we may, but are not obligated to, review or remove it.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable law, including content that infringes copyright, constitutes harassment, or is otherwise unlawful.

2. Using the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Attempt to access, tamper with, or probe any non-public area of the Site or its systems.
• Use any automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts) to access or interact with the Service without our prior written consent.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by sending spam, viruses, or excessive traffic.
• Submit false, deceptive, or misleading content.
• Use the Service in any way that could expose Unsent Memo to legal liability.

We may stop or modify any part of the Service at any time without notice, and we reserve the right to set limits on use or remove content at our sole discretion.

3. Your License to Use the Service

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license to access and use the Service for its intended purpose as described in these Terms. This license does not grant you any rights to use the Unsent Memo name, logo, or branding.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Unsent Memo and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service, including any content submitted by users. Our total liability to you will not exceed INR 2,000 (or the equivalent in any other currency) in any circumstance.

6. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in India. By using the Service, you consent to this jurisdiction.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available on the Site. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to restrict or block your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice or liability. This includes cases where we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

Since Unsent Memo does not require account creation or login, we do not collect personal information like your name, email address, or phone number by default.

We may automatically collect the following technical data when you visit the Site:

• IP address and approximate location (country or city level).
• Browser type, device type, and operating system.
• Pages visited, time spent on pages, and other usage data.
• Referring website or source that brought you to the Site.
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5).

We also collect any content you voluntarily submit through the Site, including the text of your submission. Note that submitted content becomes part of the public archive and is not treated as private once published.

The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that a person under 18 has submitted content or data, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Note that because submissions are public and permanent, we may not be able to fulfill all deletion requests related to published content.
